Si alloys

Ferrosilicon (FeSi) is used for deoxidation and alloying of steel, as a reducing agent in the manufacture of particular ferroalloys. Low-carbon ferrosilicon (LC FeSi) is an alloy used in the production of special steel qualities of transformers/motors, ball bearings and shock absorbers, tyre cord steel and in stainless steel. LC FeSi decreases the electrical conductivity and magnetostriction of electrical steels. In particular, new requirements for the smelting of ferroalloys are obligatory for pipe and automotive steels, which contain almost no carbon – from a few hundred to a few thousand %.

Size can be offered according to customer requirements.
