High-carbon ferrochrome (HC FeCr) belongs to the group of alloys with chromium content between 60% and 70% and carbon content between 4% and 8%. HC FeCr is produced from chrome ore which has high Cr/Fe ratio. This material is an intermediary product and is used as raw material mostly for stainless steel production providing resistance to corrosion. It can be applied for carbon steel as well.
